Tess

Always the dumbest in the room. or at least i try to be

Ex-collegiate athlete, retired cop, and now a civilian gig

You guys kind of know me by now, But for those who don't, my name is Tess. I found my love for podcasts when my mind would tend to go a thousand different directions while trying to complete mundane tasks. My brain would analyze past police situations or imagine new, more horrific ones. I could never just live in the moment. podcasts helped me focus and not spiral.

I soon recognized what I loved about podcasts was people just taking the time to talk. To really absorb the moment for what it was, a sharing of stories. our conversations in real life had become short form and artificial. I longed for the days of sitting and listening to music with friends, just talking about whatever topic came to mind. Boom, the podcasting idea hit, but I knew I couldn't do it the way I wanted until after my police retirement.

Currently, my goal is to give people the opportunity to meander through a conversation and tell their story while allowing me the privilege of listening—something I think we stopped prioritizing when smartphones took hold. although this podcast always comes with a trigger warning, as it is a gritty, traumatic, and a censor-driven platform, it comes from a place of love. I love my friends and care about their stories, as well as the people I have had the opportunity to meet along way. If you choose to listen in, we are happy to have you. If not, that's okay too, there are a lot of great podcasts there.

We will be here either way.
